Qualitative Evaluation of Land Suitability for Olive, Potato and Cotton Cultivation in Tarom in Zanjan

The use of soil as one the main factors in manufacture agricultural products for human consumption must be carried out using right basis and scientific principles. One ways to achieve this important goal is assess land suitability common crops study area. It also necessary determine product compatibility based on climate conditions reduce risk investment because there no history studied plant’s cultivation region. Therefore, aims evaluate cotton, potato, olive at bottom valley Tadarom Tarom region, Zanjan province ensure proper planning. After sampling performing physical, chemical, profile tests classification key 2014, soils were classified into different Aridi Sols categories, namely Typic calcigypsids, haplocambids, torriortent. climate, soil, terrain data area then collected from relevant agencies. Land assessment olive, cotton was performed simple constraint, parametric, FAO system methods. evaluation results showed that Tahdareh with series 1 not suitable (N) subclass (Ns) categories second root methods, respectively depth pebbles limiting factors. Meanwhile, 2, 3, 4, 5 placed critical fit (S3 ) proportionality (S2 classes by story respectively, where they hindered drainage.
